The Hardest Part of the Small Plate Diet
It is absolutely inappropriate to tell a thin person, “you could stand to gain a few pounds.”
I completely agree. I’ve recently taken on the small plate diet: essentially, I just eat less than most people Americans. It’s amazing how much this seems to bother others: I am constantly admoished for eating too little.
“That just doesn’t seem like a lot of food,” a friend recently remarked, looking at my dinner. I struggled to bite my tounge. “You’re right!” I wanted to say. “It’s not a lot of food.”
