When Steve Jobs says Microsoft has “no taste,” I think this is what he meant. There’s no option for “I would like to scale this image so it fills the screen but keeps the aspect ratio, and I accept that some of the image may be cropped.” This is sort of the obvious choice of anyone who respects the picture they are putting up as wallpaper. Call it “Fill Screen” or something.

P.S. I recommend DisplayFusion to add this missing feature, among other nice amenities (e.g. full-screen window movement between monitors).
